Sunshine Coast Band

"The KoolTones"

Sunshine Coast Band the KoolTones are the perfect act for Wedding Receptions, Corporate Events and Clubs. The Kooltones are a five piece band who have years of experience playing thousands of live shows.

This great live band is comprised of:

  • Leah Russ on Lead vocals
  • Rory Quinlan on Bass and Lead vocals
  • Ben Richards on Guitar and Lead vocals
  • Dave O’Keeffe on Keyboard/Piano and Lead vocals
  • Keith Stevenson Drums and Lead vocals

Live Music

The show consists of 3 prominent parts:

The first part of the Kooltones show begins with music from the very late 50's early 60's. The KoolTones perform songs from Elvis, Dion, Neil Sedaka, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny O'Keefe and also songs from the movie 'Grease' with that early 60s kind of feel.

Then there's the Moptop era.

The KoolTones perform the best songs from the moptop era, when bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Beach Boy's, The Hollies, Roy Orbison ruled the airwaves. This is a great set of music for dancing and singing along to the sounds of early British Pop and Rock.

The Crazy Hazie Hippie era

The KoolTones do great live renditions of songs from The Mama's and the Papa's, The Turtles, and Manfred Mann to name a few.  The fact that they have five leads singers means that they can cover a diverse range of music from the girl driven pop to the more guitar driven songs of this musical era.
There are lots of great dance songs in the show, and with the costume changes, the KoolTones would suit any party situation including 40th, 50th, 60th birthdays.
